CHESTERTOWN — The Downtown Chestertown Association is again sponsoring a scarecrow parking meter contest to decorate downtown sidewalks for Halloween.
The contest is open to individuals, organizations and businesses.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entries.
The winners will be announced Saturday, Oct. 26.
Contestants will be assigned a specific parking meter location to decorate between Oct. 18 and Oct. 21. The decorated meters will stay up through Nov. 5.
Political messaging is forbidden.
