CHESTERTOWN — Washington College freshman Grayson Bishop of Knoxville, Tennessee is an honorable mention All-American according to criteria of the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

He rowed in the eight seat, i.e. stroke, for the Shoremen’s varsity eight that placed third at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference championships on May 3 and second at the Dad Vail Regatta on May 10.

Heading into the spring opener in late March, Bishop was one of 12 Division III rowers named to the 2026 Athlete Watchlist by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association.

His 6 minutes, 19.3 seconds is the fifth fastest 2,000-meter erg [rowing machine] time in Washington College program history.
