SKINNERS NECK — While watermen are known to be hale and hearty and to work in all types of weather, there are exceptions to this rule.
With the air temperature well below freezing and 5 to 6 inches of snow on the ground, men and women from this area who make their living on the water wisely stayed ashore on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Our photo was taken at the Skinners Neck Public Landing, near Rock Hall.
Cold and clear is the forecast for the next couple of days, with a chance of snow — new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible — tonight into tomorrow morning.
