WORTON — Alden Swanson, a member of the Kent County High School Class of 2026, will serve as the student member of the Kent County Board of Education for the 2024-25 school year.

Superintendent Karen Couch made the announcement during the board’s meeting Monday night, May 6.

Swanson succeeds Madi Messick as the SMOB. Her term begins with the July meeting.
