MILLINGTON — A ribbon-cutting on Saturday, May 2 made it official: Trackside Bar & Grill is open for business.
The eatery at 406 Back St. in Millington is open Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to midnight.
Trackside is closed on Wednesdays.
Javier Colon and Jenny Davis, co-proprietors, cut the ceremonial ribbon in the presence of family, friends, patrons and local officials that included Millington Mayor Kevin Hemstock, Councilman Wayne Starkey and Kent County Commissioners Albert Nickerson and John Price.
According to town staff, Trackside is on the site that was an ice cream shop in the early 1900s. Since then it has been a “bar and grill” kind of establishment over the years and most recently as Cajun Mo’s.
