Kent County Sheriff

CHESTERTOWN — Angela Marie Beam, 34, Dundalk, on Dec. 5, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis (heroin); and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

DFC Aquil Freeman conducted the traffic stop.

DFC Freeman also served a Baltimore County District Court arrest warrant charging Beam with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis.

Beam initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.


WORTON — DFC Colin Rhodes is investigating a single-vehicle crash Dec. 5 on St. James Newtown Road.

No injuries were reported.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, a Chrysler PT Cruiser operated by Lamott Hynson traveled off the road and “struck a fixed object.” The vehicle sustained damage.

Chestertown Police

CHESTERTOWN — Michael Arthur Gladu, 57, Greensboro, on Nov. 30, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; and failure to display license to uniformed police on demand.

Officer Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 1:54 p.m. in the 200-block of Maple Avenue.
