GALENA — Hobie Tod Willey, 25, Galena, on June 27 was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol; exceeding speed by 30 mph or more, 81 mph in a 50-mph zone; driving a vehicle not equipped with an ignition Interlock as required; and violating a license restriction.
He was released on personal recognizance.
Sgt. Nick Watson conduced the traffic stop at 11:11 p.m. on Galena Sassafras Road.
Sgt. Watson reported that while speaking with Willey, Willey displayed “signs of impairment.”
Willey allegedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

KENNEDYVILLE — Heather Lee Barcus, 39, Townsend, Del., on July 2 was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; transporting a minor while driving under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; transporting a minor while driving while impaired by alcohol; and driving a vehicle without adequate rear registration plate illumination.
She was released on personal recognizance.
DFC Brady Collins conducted the traffic stop at 9:57 p.m. on Augustine Herman Highway at Browntown Road.
DFC Collins reported that while speaking with Barcus, Barcus displayed “signs of impairment.”
Barcus allegedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

CHESTERTOWN — DFC Shane Steppe is investigating a single-vehicle crash July 3 on Ricauds Branch Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, Dashira Caulk, 36, Chestertown, was driving a 2011 Ford Edge that traveled off the roadway and struck a tree as she was attempting to avoid an animal in the road.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.

CHESTERTOWN — Michael James Mills, 39, Chestertown, on July 6 was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision; negligent driving; and reckless driving.
He was released on personal recognizance.
DFC Brady Collins responded to Canvasbak Road at Sheldrake Road at 9:43 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle crash. A 2006 Buick car, driven by Mills, had traveled off the roadway and became disabled in a ditch.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
No injuries were reported.
DFC Collins reported that while conducting a roadside interview, Mills displayed “indicators of impairment.”
