Chestertown Police

CHESTERTOWN — Melissa Lynn Berry, 53, Chestertown, on Jan. 6, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; driving while license is suspended; driving with suspended license and privilege; and failure to display license to uniformed police on demand.

Officer Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 12:44 p.m. in the 800-block of High Street.

WORTON — Myron Anthony Taylor, 44, Crumpton, on Jan. 2, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis (four counts); possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute; and possession of paraphernalia (two counts).

He also was charged with driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization; driving on suspended license and privilege; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; operating an unregistered vehicle; driving without current tags; and displaying expired registration plates.

DFC Aquil Freeman responded to the 24000-block of Porters Grove Road at 1:25 a.m. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Taylor was identified as the driver.

Taylor was transported to the district court commissioner’s office in Chestertown; he was ordered to be held without bond.

Upon leaving the district court commissioner’s office, Taylor allegedly attempted to escape from the arresting officer, DFC Freeman. He subsequently was charged with second-degree escape.

He is being held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

Gavin Russell Ellis, 41, Centreville, on Jan. 3, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis, cocaine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was released on personal recognizance.

DFC Colin Rhodes conducted the traffic stop.

Nolan Hunter Lott, 31, Chestertown, on Jan. 3, was issued district court summonses for driving, attempting to drive while impaired by alcohol; driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol; driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol per se; negligent driving; and reckless driving.

He was released on personal recognizance.

The charges stem from a traffic stop July 6 on Massey Road.

Michael Quille Harper, 36, Chestertown, on Jan. 3, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis, fentanyl; possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis, cocaine; and possession of paraphernalia.

He was released on personal recognizance.

DFC Collin Shockley made the initial traffic stop, with assistance from Cpl. Scott Lockerman and K-9 Khari.

Zachary Allen Geyer, 33, Chestertown, on Jan. 7, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis (two counts); possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute; possession of a narcotic with intent to distribute in a school/school bus zone; and possession of paraphernalia (two counts).

He initially was held in the Kent County Detention Center without bond.

DFC Aquil Freeman made the initial traffic stop, with assistance from DFC Michael Piasecki and K-9 Draco.
