CHESTERTOWN — Brian John Schatzinger, 73, Chestertown, on May 17, was charged with driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol; and driving, attempting to drive while impaired by alcohol.

He also was charged with failure to display two lighted front lamps when required; failure to display, reflect red color light on rear lamps and reflectors as required; and failure to display license to uniformed police on demand.

PFC Meera Srinivasan conducted the traffic stop at 9:38 p.m. in the 100-block of Hadaway Drive.

CHESTERTOWN — Christopher Charles Lorentz, 75, Chestertown, on May 18, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; and driving while impaired by alcohol.

He also was charged with failure to obey properly placed traffic control device instructions; failure to stop at stop sign line; failure to stop at steady circular red signal; reckless driving; negligent driving; driving in excess of reasonable and prudent speed; and failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision.

He was released on personal recognizance.

According to a CPD news release, PFC Meera Srinivasan observed the motor vehicle crash in the 200-block of High Street at 8:51 p.m.

CHESTERTOWN — Taylor Reeves Maclaren Hewes, 32, Washington, on May 24, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; and driving while impaired by alcohol.

He also was charged with failure to display lighted lamps, illuminating device in unfavorable visibility conditions; displaying a vehicle with an expired registration plate; driving a vehicle without current registration plates and validation tabs; and failure to display registration card upon demand by a police officer.

PFC Brandon McGinnis conducted the traffic stop at 10 p.m. on S. Cross Street at High Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Maykon Alexis Niz Longo, 31, Goldsboro, on May 26, was charged with driving a vehicle with suspended registration; operating an unregistered vehicle; unauthorized display and use of registration plate; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; and failure to display registration card upon demand by a police officer.

PFC Brandon McGinnis conducted the traffic stop at 6:29 p.m. in the 200-block of Maple Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Richard Wayne Achuff Jr., 42, Earleville, on May 26, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; and driving while impaired by alcohol.

He also was charged with failure to stop at steady circular red signal; and failure to stop at stop sign line.

Officer Ryan Thompson conducted the traffic stop at 9:17 p.m. on High Street at College Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Luis Fernando Barrios Mazariegos, 22, Marydel, on May 29, was charged with driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization. 

Cpl. Chris Schwink conducted the traffic stop at 1:01 p.m. in the 200-block of Washington Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Anthony Michael Mallory, 20, Betterton, on June 1, was charged with failure to notify the Motor Vehicle Administration of change of address within 30 days; driving a vehicle with suspended registration; driving a vehicle without current registration plates and validation tabs; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; failure to obey properly placed traffic control device instructions; and failure to yield intersection right-of-way to another vehicle.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 7:51 a.m. in the 200-block of Scheeler Road at Haacke Drive.
