MILLINGTON — DFC Wayne Baker is investigating a two-vehicle crash with injury July 11 on Cherry Lane in the area of state Route 291.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, a 53-year-old Crumpton man, operating a Chevrolet truck, sideswiped a GMC sport utility vehicle that was operated by a 70-year-old Millington man.
The Chevrolet truck traveled off the road and struck a tree; the driver suffered minor injury, according to the news release.
The crash occurred at 3:36 p.m.
The driver of the truck was in possession of a non-serialized handgun without a permit, according to the news release.

LYNCH — A vehicle reported stolen from Dover, Del., on July 12, was observed on Flatland Road near Chestertown. When a deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle fled and a pursuit was initiated.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed before ultimately crashing in the area of state Route 298 at Lynch Road.
Three individuals — all identified as juveniles from the Chestertown area — fled on foot, but were quickly apprehended, according to the news release. They have been referred to the Department of Juvenile Services.

ROCK HALL — Cpl. Parker Hudson is investigating a two-vehicle crash July 14 at the intersection of West Sharp Street and Liberty Street.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, a 2016 Toyota truck operated by Robert Wayne Priest, 70, Rock Hall, collided with a 2023 Ford truck operated by Jeffrey Keith Duston, 63, Rock Hall.
The Ford truck was able to be driven from the scene, but the Toyota was inoperable, according to the news release.

MILLINGTON — DFC Michael Piasecki is investigating a three-vehicle crash July 15 on Cypress Street.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, a Ford van operated by John Lester Holding, 71, Millington, struck a parked and unoccupied Kia sport utility vehicle, which then struck a Buick sport utility vehicle occupied by Sherissa Leshea Jeffers, 42, Chestertown, and two juveniles.
Holding and the two juveniles were transported to an area hospital by Emergency Medical Services personnel, according to the news release.
The Ford van and Buick sport utility vehicle were towed from the scene.
