MILLINGTON — Sgt. Phil Trinks is investigating a motor vehicle crash and reported assault Sept. 20 on Speer Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, the complainant reported that she was assaulted and then the vehicle that she was a passenger in — a Chevrolet pickup truck — left the roadway.

The truck subsequently caught fire, sustaining “disabling damage,” according to the news release. It was towed from the scene.

Police identified the driver as a 39-year-old Clayton, Del. man.

CHESTERTOWN — Joseph Richard Boone, 42, Church Hill, on Sept. 23, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis (to wit: methamphetamine); and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

He was released after being served the citations.

Cpl. Dave Nolan responded to Chestertown Road, in the area of Old Fairlee Road, to check on a vehicle off the roadway.

Boone was an occupant of the vehicle.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Boone was charged following an investigation and K-9 scan by Cpl. Mike Piasecki and K-9 Draco.

CHESTERTOWN — Jeanne Marie Apple, 41, Chestertown, on Sept. 12, was served must-appear traffic citations for operating an unregistered vehicle; displaying expired registration plate; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; and driving without current registration plates and validation tabs.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 9:35 p.m. on Washington Avenue at Spring Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Jeanne Marie Apple, 41, Chestertown, on Sept. 17, was served must-appear traffic citations for displaying expired registration plate; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; and driving without current registration plates and validation tabs.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 8:02 p.m. on Calvert Street at S. Mill Street.
