CHESTERTOWN — Jeanne Marie Apple, 41, and Nehemiah Elijah James Williams, 30, both of Chestertown, on Sept. 30, were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis; and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Both were released on personal recognizance.
Apple was identified as the driver of a vehicle that was stopped at 1:04 a.m. on Flatland Road, north of Mary Morris Road.
Charges were filed following a K-9 scan by Draco and handler Cpl. Michael Piasecki. Suspected cocaine and fentanyl were located.
Apple was charged with displaying expired registration plate; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; and knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle.
Cpl. Aquil Freeman conducted the traffic stop.
