MILLINGTON — Montrail Cortez Montgomery Sr., 49, Church Hill, and Devon Lynn Cummings, 41, Millington, on May 4, were charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance-not cannabis (to wit: cocaine); and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Both were released on personal recognizance.
Montgomery and Cummings were occupants of a vehicle that was stopped on River Park Road for an alleged traffic violation.
The driver was not identified.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, K-9 Khari scanned the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the odor of suspected drugs.
Montgomery and Cummings were charged following a search of the vehicle.
Cpl. Parker Hudson conducted the traffic stop, assisted by Sgt. Scott Lockerman and K-9 Khari.

CHESTERTOWN — Cpl. Parker Hudson is investigating a single-vehicle “rollover” May 9 on Bay Shore Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, Xavier Jones, 22, Chestertown, was operating a 2008 Volkswagen passenger car that traveled off the roadway and subsequently struck a utility pole and residential mailbox.
No injuries were reported.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
