WORTON — DFC Wayne Baker is investigating a single-vehicle crash Aug. 22 on Worton Lynch Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, Elijah Carter, 23, of Chestertown was operating a 2021 Acura passenger car that struck a deer.
The car was towed from the scene.

ROCK HALL — DFC Tyler Baitsholts is investigating a single-vehicle crash Aug. 22 on Reeses Corner Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, Elizabeth Bjorke, 22, of Chestertown was operating a 2022 Audi passenger car that struck a deer.
The car was towed from the scene.

ROCK HALL — Darrell Eugene Wilson, 40, of Rock Hall, on Aug. 25, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; and driving while impaired by alcohol.
He also was charged with exceeding the maximum posted speed limit, 58 mph in a posted 40-mph zone; failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required; negligent driving; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; and driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization.
Wilson was released on personal recognizance.
Cpl. Aquil Freeman conducted the traffic stop at 10:14 p.m. on state Route 20, east of Edesville Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, during a roadside interview, Wilson allegedly showed signs of impairment. He was charged with DUI/DWI after allegedly performing poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.
