CHESTERTOWN — Steven Augustine Ford, 50, Worton, on Sept. 10, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; driving without required license and authorization; driving while license is suspended; driving on suspended license and privilege; failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required;  displaying expired registration plate; and failure to display registration card upon demand.

PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 9:36 p.m. in the 500-block of Washington Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Amoree Jean Devante Simpson, 33, Newark, N.J., on Sept. 13, was charged with exceeding maximum posted speed limit, 66 mph in a posted 30-mph zone; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; and driving without required license and authorization.

CHESTERTOWN — Robert Frank Geyer Jr., 38, Chestertown, on Sept. 21, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; and failure to display license to uniformed police on demand.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 7:41 p.m. on Spring Avenue at Calvert Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Mathew Lewis Daly, 36, Chestertown, on Sept. 22, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; and driving a vehicle with suspended registration. 

Cpl. Chris Schwink conducted the traffic stop at 4:46 p.m. at the Washington Square shopping center.

CHESTERTOWN — Deivis Erik Leal Villalobos, 35, Chestertown, on Sept. 23, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; failure to display registration card to uniformed police on demand; driving without required license and authorization; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; operating an unregistered vehicle; and displaying expired registration plates.

CHESTERTOWN — Brett Edward Lovelace, 50, Chestertown, on Sept. 27, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; driving while license is suspended; driving without required license and authorization; driving on suspended license and privilege; displaying expired registration plate; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; operating an unregistered vehicle; failure to display registration card upon demand by police officer; and failure to display license to uniformed police on demand. 

PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 10:19 a.m. on Washington Avenue at Greenwood Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Franklin H. Cannon, 44, Dover, Del., on Sept. 29, was charged with driving while license is suspended; driving without required license and authorization; driving on suspended out-of-state license; driving with an expired license; and failure to display license to uniformed police on demand.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 9:33 p.m. on Maple Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Denarin Skyler Walley, 45, Worton, on Sept. 30, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; driving while license is suspended; driving without required license and authorization; driving on suspended license and privilege; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; failure to display registration card to uniformed police on demand; displaying expired registration plate; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; unauthorized display and use of registration plate; driving vehicle with suspended registration; operating an unregistered vehicle; and driving with expired license. 

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 10:48 p.m. on Haacke Drive at Scheeler Road.

 

Kent County Sheriff

CHESTERTOWN — Cpl. Aquil Freeman is investigating a single-vehicle crash Sept. 23 on Ricauds Branch Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, a 19-year-old Millington man was operating a 2005 Chevrolet truck that drove through standing water and then subsequently left the roadway and struck a mailbox.

The truck was driven from the scene, according to the news release.

MILLINGTON — Roland Eugene Duperry, 68, Leesville, S.C., on Sept. 29, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance that is not cannabis; and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

He was released on personal recognizance.

Sgt. Scott Lockerman conducted the traffic stop on Peacock Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, K-9 Khari scanned the vehicle and gave a positive alert to the odor of a suspected controlled dangerous substance. Suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia were located during a probable cause search of the vehicle.

 CHESTERTOWN — Kendra Andrea Johnson, 25, Chestertown, on Sept. 29, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; and transporting a minor while driving while impaired by alcohol.

She was released on personal recognizance.

Sgt. Nick Watson conducted the traffic stop at 11:32 p.m. on Chestertown Road (state Route 20 at state Route 298).

According to a sheriff’s office news release, while conducting a roadside interview with Johnson, Sgt. Watson observed “indicators of impairment.”

Johnson was charged after she allegedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.

CHESTERTOWN — Glenn Scott Kilpatrick, 53, Rock Hall, on Oct. 3, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; consuming alcohol in a vehicle on the roadway; failure to give turn signal continuously during the last 100 feet of travel before turning; and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway when required.

He was released on personal recognizance.

Sgt. Scott Lockerman conducted the traffic stop at 5:55 p.m. on Chestertown Road (state Route 20) at Airy Hill Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, while conducting the roadside interview with Kilpatrick, Sgt. Lockerman observed “signs of impairment.” 

Kilpatrick was charged after he allegedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.

CHESTERTOWN — Rosalia Hernandez Lopes, 38, Kennedyville, on Oct. 5, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol; driving under the influence of alcohol per se; and driving while impaired by alcohol.

She was released on personal recognizance.

DFC Daniel Parent conducted the traffic stop on Morgnec Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, while conducting a roadside interview with Lopes, DFC Parent observed “indictors of impairment.”

Lopes was charged after she allegedly performed poorly on standardized field sobriety tests.
