CHESTERTOWN — Jhony Estuardo Gutierrez Pena, 37, Philadelphia, Pa., on Oct. 9, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; driving, attempting to drive while so far impaired that he cannot drive safely; driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization; failure to obey properly placed traffic control device instructions; and reckless driving.
He was released on personal recognizance.
Cpl. Scott Lockerman conducted the traffic stop at 5:40 a.m. on state Route 297 and the Suds ‘N Soda parking lot.

MILLINGTON — DFC Aquil Freeman is investigating a single-vehicle crash Oct. 14 on Walnut Tree Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, a 2014 Ford Mustang operated by Chase Talley of Magnolia, Del., left the roadway and overturned after Talley swerved to avoid striking an animal.
Police reported that Talley was transported in a private vehicle to an area hospital for treatment of injuries that were described as minor.
