Washington all-star keeper Allen sets program records for shutouts in a single season and career

CHESTERTOWN — Washington College’s women’s soccer team has a program-record four players who have earned all-star recognition in voting by the Centennial Conference’s 11 head coaches, led by sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Allen of West Pittston, Pennsylvania, who landed on the second team.

Midfielder Kaileigh Brady of Hockessin, Delaware, forward Sophie Kilbride of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and back Grace Morris of Warren, New Jersey — all sophomores — received honorable mention.

Junior back Dahlia Kuzemka of Wallingford, Pennsylvania was Washington’s representative on the conference’s All-Sportsmanship Team, selected by coach Tom Reilly.

Allen established a program record of 10 shutouts in a single season, bringing her career total to 13, also a record.

She also holds the school record of 0.82 goals-against average for a career (21 goals allowed in 2,305 minutes, 2023-24).

Allen played every minute (1,620) for the 7-4-7 Shore ladies. Her line included a 0.67 goals-against average, a .836 save percentage and 61 saves in 18 matches.

Allen led the conference in goals-against average and was second in save percentage.

Brady, who appeared in all 18 matches with 16 starts, led the team in goals (5) and points (11). Two of her goals were game-winners — Aug. 30 in the season opener against Grove City, a 2024 NCAA Division III Tournament qualifier, and Oct. 1 against DeSales.

Kilbride was second on the team in goals (3), tied for second on the squad in assists (2) and third in points (8). She also appeared in all 18 matches with 12 starts.

Morris joined Allen as the only two players to start all 18 matches. She logged 1,543 minutes– second on the team behind Allen — and played all 90 minutes in each of 15 matches. She led a Washington defense that tied for the conference lead with fewest goals allowed (12).

The Shore ladies ended end their season at 7-4-7 overall — their fewest losses ever — and 3-4-3 in the conference.
