Washington is here Thursday for Kent’s homecoming football game

WORTON — Kent County will host winless Washington tomorrow night for its homecoming football game.

Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m.

The Trojans are 1-5, having lost four games in a row — most recently a 45-0 blowout Saturday, Oct. 12 at Queen Anne’s for the Lions’ homecoming.

That was so last week, according to Kent County head coach Harold Somerville.

“We have moved on,” he told The Evening Enterprise on Wednesday.

“The learning process is always just to never beat yourself up over what has already happened,” he added.

“We are looking forward to tomorrow. Our focus is to play hard and come out on top with a victory.”

At halftime of Thursday’s game, the Brigade of Blue marching band will perform and the homecoming king and queen will be crowned.
