CHESTERTOWN — The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal is preliminarily reporting that the Thursday, Oct. 16 fire in an alley in the 400-block of Calvert Street was incendiary.
Three juveniles are accused of “intentionally igniting miscellaneous personal property placed next to a structure,” according to a news release.
A referral to the Department of Juvenile Services is pending.
According to the news release, a 911 call was initiated by a neighbor at 1:20 p.m.
Chestertown Volunteer Fire Company responded and brought the fire under control in 13 minutes, according to the news release.
No injuries were reported.
The Chestertown Police Department is assisting the OSFM in the investigation.
