MILLINGTON — Delaney Kimble of Rock Hall and Leela Krysztowski of Millington are the inaugural recipients of $1,000 scholarships awarded by the Kent County Chiefs Association and Kent County EMS Council.
The scholarships — for graduating high school seniors — were awarded at the July 24 meeting of the Kent County Chiefs Association, which was held at the firehouse in Millington.
The money is to be used for college expenses, including books, tuition, and room and board.

They must be an active member of a Kent County volunteer fire/EMS rescue company or department; have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale); and have successfully completed Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute Firefighter I or be a Maryland Emergency Medical Responder.
