SUDLERSVILLE — Queen Anne’s County had its third fatal crash in a week on Friday night, July 25.
The latest crash was at Sudlersville Road and Duhamel Corner Road, and involved two vehicles.
Lisa Marie Arisman, 56, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was pronounced deceased at the scene by emergency medical service personnel, according to a news release from the Maryland State Police.
She was the front passenger in a 2022 Chevrolet Malibu driven by John Arisman, 58, also of Pittsburgh.
John Arisman was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment of his injuries.
The other driver, identified as Kyle Wayne Crossley, 30, of Sudlersville, was transported to ChristianaCare Christiana Hospital in Delaware.
He was driving a 2020 Nissan Frontier pickup truck.
The crash occurred at about 10:45 p.m.
According to the MSP news release, the preliminary investigation indicates that the Nissan was traveling westbound on Sudlersville Road when it failed to navigate a slight curve in the road, entered the eastbound lane and into the path of the Chevrolet Malibu.
The MSP Crash Team is leading the investigation.
Once the investigation has been completed, findings will be submitted to the Office of the Queen Anne’s County State’s Attorney, which will decide if charges will be filed.
Two Ridgely women, ages 63 and 86, were killed Thursday afternoon, July 24 in a two-vehicle crash that occurred shortly before 12:30 p.m. on southbound U.S. Route 301 at Price Station Road (state Route 405) near Church Hill.
On Tuesday morning, July 22, a 58-year-old Greensboro woman was pronounced deceased at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at this same location.
The Maryland State Police Crash Team also is investigating the July 24 and July 22 fatals.
