Orientation is Aug. 5 for KCHS fall sports

WORTON — Head coaches have been hired and they are assembling their staffs as Kent County High School prepares to pull the curtain back on the fall 2026 season.

It’s a veteran team, and many of the coaches are KCHS graduates.

Orientation is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 in the KCHS auditorium.

Orientation is for new and returning athletes and their parents.

Attendance is strongly encouraged.

This is an ideal time to meet the coaches, and to find out about their training requirements, practice schedules and expectations for the season.

KCHS athletes are reminded that they cannot practice or participate until they have a completed physical on file at school. The first day of practice is Aug. 12.

Choptank Community Health is offering free sports physicals. The mobile van for physicals is at Kent County High School and Kent County Middle School during the week. Call 667-377-2004 to make an appointment and to verify location.
