CHESTERTOWN — There is no age limit for those who want to dress up for Halloween. That’s the philosophy of Linda Fonseca of Chestertown, pictured here wearing her fairy finery including wings and accompanied by costumed pets Bentley, foreground, and Lilly.
Linda and friends had a prime viewing spot on High Street on Saturday, Oct. 26 when the Chestertown Lions Club held its annual Halloween parade.
In addition to the traditional categories for students in preschool through high school, adults and floats, cash prizes were awarded for the first time to pets.
Roger Williams, retired after many years as the Kent County treasurer, served as the grand marshal of the parade that stepped off at 1 p.m.
Music was provided by the Sudlersville Middle School Band, the Kent County High School Brigade of Blue marching band and the newly formed Delmarva United Marching Band.
The Chestertown Lions Club has been hosting a Halloween parade for more than 50 years.
