GALENA — Stephanie Marie Williams, 51, Elkton, on July 2, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; driving while impaired by alcohol; driving, attempting to drive while under the influence of alcohol while transporting a minor; and driving, attempting to drive while impaired by alcohol while transporting a minor.

She also was charged with failure to equip a vehicle with required lights and reflectors; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; unsafe backing of vehicle; negligent driving; and failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Williams was released to a sober driver after being served the traffic citations.

DFC Wayne Baker conducted the traffic stop at 10:53 p.m. on East Cross Street at Jarman Avenue. 

According to the news release, Williams, upon stopping, then allegedly backed into DFC Baker’s marked Ford Explorer, causing minor damage.

FAIRLEE — Leonard Vito Sinacori, 70, Levittown, Pa., on July 5, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; and driving while impaired by alcohol.

He also was charged with exceeding the maximum posted speed limit, allegedly driving 68 mph in a posted 50-mph zone; and negligent driving.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Sinacori was released to a sober driver after being served the traffic citations.

Sgt. Nick Watson conducted the traffic stop at 12 a.m. on eastbound state Route 20 at Old Fairlee Road.
