WORTON — Senior Kate Cannon and junior Michelle Menequin (No. 10) celebrate Kent County High School’s 16-15 triumph over Pocomoke on Wednesday afternoon, April 9.
This was the Trojans’ first win of the season.
Trailing 15-14 heading into the last of the seventh inning, Cannon singled to left field to plate Paige Miller with the tying run and ultimately scored on a passed ball with two away to complete the come-from-behind victory.
Menequin relieved freshman Julie Dickerson in the circle in the top of the fifth inning, inheriting runners on first and second with one out.
