ROCK HALL — Wings of Spring, a nature-inspired festival, will make its debut in Rock Hall this weekend.
The aptly named event celebrates the annual return of ospreys and the renewal of spring.

Saturday promises to be “a fun-filled day of family-friendly programming” from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout town.
Visitors will have the opportunity to observe ospreys in their natural habitat as they return to nest throughout Rock Hall Harbor. The festival blends wildlife education, outdoor recreation and small-town charm — offering something for all ages.
• Hosted at The Mainstay in partnership with Friends of Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, the day begins at 9:30 a.m. with a symposium titled “Osprey Population Trends in Northern Chesapeake Bay.”
After the talks, there will be a question-and-answer session with all the presenters.
A native plants presentation will follow from 2 to 3 p.m.

• Along Main Street you will find unique local shops, artists, artisans and pop-up vendors; local fare and festival merchandise; interactive kids’ activities including crafts, games and books; and The Fish Mobile, a traveling aquarium showcasing Chesapeake Bay species.
Visitors also can watch osprey nest webcam footage streaming inside participating businesses throughout town.
