MILLINGTON — Cpl. Aquil Freeman, on Feb. 6, conducted a traffic stop on Sassafras Street at Cypress Street.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, an occupant of the vehicle, identified as Barry Dean Reece, 33, Clayton, Del., was found to be wanted on a Worcester County District Court bench warrant for failure to appear in court.
A K-9 scan of the vehicle was conducted by Cpl. Mike Piasecki and a positive alert for the presence of suspected narcotics was given by K-9 Draco, according to a sheriff’s office news release.
During a subsequent search, Cpl. Freeman found Reece to be in possession of a suspected controlled dangerous substance and CDS paraphernalia.
Reece was served criminal citations for possession of CDS, not cannabis (to wit: methamphetamine); and possession of CDS paraphernalia.
Subsequently, according to the news release, Reece was released on the bench warrant after posting a cash bond.

GOLTS — Deputy Tyler Baitsholts is investigating a single-vehicle property damage crash Feb. 8 on Black Bottom Road.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, Erik Trader of Clayton, Del., operating a 2006 Ram truck, lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently struck several trees along the roadway.
There were no injuries reported.
The truck was towed from the scene.
Chestertown Police
CHESTERTOWN — Shawn Edward Baker, 59, Hebron, on Jan. 24, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while under the influence of alcohol per se; and driving while impaired by alcohol.
He also was charged with failure to display and reflect red color light on rear lamps and reflectors as required; failure to equip vehicle with required red stop lamp visible from a distance of not less than 300 feet; driving vehicle without adequate rear registration plate illumination; and failure of vehicle to display lighted lamps, illuminating device in unfavorable visibility conditions.
He was released on personal recognizance.
PFC Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 5:54 p.m. in the 400-block of Morgnec Road.

CHESTERTOWN — Destini Patrice Somerville, 25, Worton, on Jan. 24, was charged with failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; knowingly driving uninsured vehicle; driving without required license and authorization; operating unregistered vehicle; unauthorized display and use of registration plate; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; displaying expired registration plate; failure to display registration card upon demand; driving while license is suspended; and driving on suspended license and privilege.
PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 10:25 p.m. on Maple Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Jessica Don Church, 42, Chestertown, on Feb. 5, was charged with failure to display two lighted front lamps when required; driving with an expired license; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; operating an unregistered vehicle; displaying registration plate issued for other vehicle; driving without adequate rear registration plate illumination; failure to display registration card upon demand of a police officer; displaying expired registration plate; unauthorized use and display of registration plate; and driving vehicle without current registration plates and validation tabs.
Cpl. Brandon McGinnis conducted the traffic stop at 12:41 a.m. in the 200-block of Maple Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Jackson Abboud Brocker, 24, Chestertown, on Feb. 10, was charged with failure to attach registration plates at front and rear; displaying expired registration plates; driving without current tags; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization; driving on suspended license and privilege; possession of a suspended license; and displaying suspended license.
