WORTON — Kent County High School senior quarterback Dwan Harris follows the commands of offensive coordinator Stevie Curran on the first day of football practice Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Two-year starter Harris returns after a year away from the game, and is one of the reasons head coach Paul Tue is anticipating a much better season in 2026 for the Trojans.
Twenty-six prospects turned out for the first day of practice, another plus for a program that folded after eight games in 2025 after the roster had downsized from a high of 28 players on opening day to fewer than 15.
Meantime, Curran ’16 returns to his alma mater as a member of the coaching staff with serious street cred as a player.
In his final year as a Trojan, Curran was the Offensive Player of the Year in the 13-school Bayside Conference; was a starter and captain for the Crab Bowl, an all-star game for the top seniors in Maryland and Washington, D.C.; and was selected to the elite first team of the Maryland All-State team for small schools as the best quarterback.
KCHS kicks off the season at home Friday, Sept. 4 against Bohemia Manor.
