Sheriff’s office is asking for public’s help in locating missing Galena woman

GALENA — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 74-year-old Galena woman who has not been seen for several months.

The last “100% confirmed sighting” of Nikole Lynn Snover was in December, lead investigator Lt. Sean Maloney told The Evening Enterprise.

“Some people believe they have seen her more recently, but we have not been able to confirm those sightings,” Maloney wrote in a text message.

He said the sheriff’s office has received information that Snover is residing with a private caregiver out of the area, but has not been able to confirm that information.

Snover’s case has been entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System.

Anyone who has information about Snover’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Kent County Sheriff’s Office at 410-778-2279.

According to Lt. Maloney, several people who either live or work in the Kent County area requested a welfare check in late May, early June because they had not seen Snover, known as “Nikki,” for a period of time.

“That is what sparked the investigation,” Maloney, commander of the sheriff’s office Criminal Investigation Division, told The Evening Enterprise.

“We are exploring all possibilities at this point,” Maloney said when asked if investigators had been able to rule out foul play.
