GEORGETOWN — A special three-course meal and readings from a psychic medium will be held on Friday night, Sept. 13 at the historic Kitty Knight House as a fundraiser for the United Way of Kent County.
The locally sourced meal will be prepared by celebrity chef Robbie Jester, with wine pairings from Crow Vineyard.
Readings will be conducted by Andréa, who is said to be “an expert in connecting with the dead and other spirits.”
She will visit tables during dinner to answer questions.
After dinner, the show will begin with Andréa sharing messages from deceased loved ones with members of the audience.
Supposedly, a building comprised of two separate houses was saved from destruction by Catharine “Kitty” Knight when the British attacked Georgetown in 1813 during the War of 1812.
According to the Haunted Bar Guide, the ghost of Kitty Knight may continue to roam the building — opening and closing doors and rocking in her favorite chair. Some have felt her presence and have caught a glimpse of her shadowy figure.
“That’s the Spirit” is the title of the Sept. 13 event, which will run from 6 to 9 p.m.
A basket of spirits will be raffled off, including an overnight stay at the Kitty Knight House, a personal reading with Andréa and other essential “spirit” items.
This is a limited ticket event.
