Kent County Sheriff

ROCK HALL — Benjamin Clark Hillyer, 29, Chestertown, on Oct. 23, was charged with negligent driving; failure to reduce speed on a curve; and failure to control vehicle speed to avoid a collision.

Hillyer was charged after Cpl. Parker Hudson investigated a single-vehicle crash 5:14 p.m. on Eastern Neck Road near Bogles Wharf Road.

According to a sheriff’s office news release, Hillyer was operating a 2019 Toyota truck that traveled off the roadway, overturned and struck a utility pole.

Hillyer was airlifted by a Maryland State Police helicopter to an area hospital for medical treatment, according to the news release.

CHESTERTOWN — A 17-year-old male from the Millington area, on Oct. 26, was referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on complaints of driving while under the influence; and driving while impaired.

He was released to a parent, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Chestertown Police

CHESTERTOWN — William Uvaldo Ziga Mimiaga, 29, Chestertown, on Oct. 7, was charged with driving without required license and authorization.

Officer Ryan Thompson conducted the traffic stop at 9:35 p.m. in the 100-block of Flatland Road.

CHESTERTOWN — Trenay Aniece Wigfall, 21, New Castle, Del., on Oct. 9, was charged with failure to display registration card upon demand by police officer; displaying expired registration plate; driving without current registration plates and validation tabs; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; and operating an unregistered vehicle.

She was charged following investigation of a crash at 6:37 p.m. in the area of Washington Avenue and Morgnec Road.

PFC Eric Nunez and Chief Ronald Dixon responded to the crash scene.

CHESTERTOWN — Joel Mendoza Munoz, 27, Galena, on Oct. 11, was charged with driving without required license and authorization.

Officer Ryan Thompson conducted the traffic stop at 9:10 p.m. on Morgnec Road.

CHESTERTOWN — Anthony Lamont Corbin, 58, Chestertown, on Oct. 13, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; driving while license is suspended; driving on suspended license and privilege; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; and seven payable traffic offenses.

Officer Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 3:26 p.m. on Mill Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Dennis Asa Huff Jr., 22, Chestertown, on Oct. 15, was charged with knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle.

He was charged after investigation of a crash at 8:25 a.m. on Maple Avenue at Water Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Pedro Juan Carlos, 32, Stevensville, on Oct. 15, was charged with exceeding posted maximum speed limit, 36 mph in a posted 25-mph zone; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; driving without required license and authorization; and driving in excess of reasonable and prudent speed.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 9:30 a.m. in the 700-block of High Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Miguel Angel Martinez Garcia, 29, Dallas, Texas, on Oct. 16, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; failure to display license to uniformed police on demand; failure to display registration card upon demand by police officer; displaying expired registration plate; and driving with lamp improperly displaying white light from rear.

Officer Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 12:37 p.m. in the 800-block of High Street.

CHESTERTOWN — Keenan Blaine Houston, 31, Chestertown, on Oct. 16, was charged with driving without required license and authorization; driving with suspended registration; and failure to display license to uniformed police.

PFC Brandon McGinnis conducted the traffic stop at 10:45 p.m, in the 200-block of Hadaway Drive.

CHESTERTOWN — George Edward Pritchett Jr., 55, Chestertown, on Oct. 16, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol; driving while impaired by alcohol; driving while so far impaired that he cannot drive safely; knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle; failure to display registration card upon demand of a police officer; and driving with suspended registration.

He was released on personal recognizance.

Officer Travis Burke conducted the traffic stop at 4:38 p.m. in the area of High Street and College Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Charles Alsup III, 44, Chestertown, on Oct. 17, was charged with displaying expired registration plate; driving on suspended license and privilege; and driving, attempting to drive without required license and authorization.

Cpl. Chris Schwink conducted the traffic stop at 3:33 p.m. in the 300-block of Maple Avenue.

CHESTERTOWN — Ashley Renee Jones, 34, Chestertown, on Oct. 20, was charged with driving with suspended registration; and knowingly driving an uninsured vehicle.

PFC Eric Nunez conducted the traffic stop at 9:08 p.m. on North Kent Street at Mt. Vernon Avenue.
