CHESTERTOWN — Olistean Alexsander Jones, 45, Chestertown, on Dec. 19, was charged with unauthorized display and use of registration plate; operating unregistered vehicle; displaying registration plate issued for other vehicle/to other person; and failure to display registration card upon demand of police officer.
Cpl. Parker Hudson conducted the traffic stop at 3:31 p.m. on Hadaway Drive.
Sgt. Scott Lockerman and his assigned K-9 “Khari” conducted a search. According to a sheriff’s office news release, the dog alerted to the odor of suspected drugs and suspected drugs were located.
On Jan. 2, Jones was served a district court summons for possession of a controlled dangerous substance-not cannabis with the intent to distribute. He was released after signing for the summons.

MILLINGTON — DFC Wayne Baker is investigating a single-vehicle crash Jan. 4 on Millington Road near Kent Mill Drive.
According to a sheriff’s office news release, a 2016 Lexus traveled off the road and subsequently overturned several times.
The driver, identified as Kashyap Desai of Millington, was transported to an area hospital. He was treated and released, according to a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
